My Story

Elizabeth Filippouli is a journalist, writer and social entrepreneur.

She is the Founder of Global Thinkers Forum, a non-profit platform incubated at Oxford’s Said Business School in 2011 with a mission to promote accountability in leadership through a family of initiatives convening thinkers and decision makers, and to support the economic integration of youth and women through mentoring programmes.

Her book 'From Women to the World: Letters for a New Century' published by Bloomsbury UK in 2021, brings together the diverse narratives of women activists, artists and professionals from nineteen countries.

Over her prolific career in journalism, she worked with Al Jazeera English, CNN International and Greek media and has served as advisor to international companies such as Coca Cola 3E, Athens Olympics Committee, World Economic Forum, Camelot UK, AG Leventis.

Her studies include MA in Journalism (London City University), EMBA Strategy & Innovation (Said Business School University of Oxford), ALM in Creative Writing (Harvard Extension School), Executive Diploma Shaping Change in the Information Age (Harvard Kennedy School of Government).

“A series of letters written by women to the women who changed their lives, it is in itself likely to change the lives of the many women who are destined to read it.Our ability to love, learn and influence is the sum of our important and inspirational relationships. I will be buying it for my daughter and my mother. This is not a book to miss.”
